JOHANN BERNOULLI

Johann Bernoulli (1667 - 1748) was a Swiss mathematician who contributed to calculus and other infinitesimal topics. He was involved in a partnership with Guillaume de l’Hôpital, and helped develop l’Hôpital’s rule, only to controversially have l’Hôpital publish the findings on his own. Beyond his contributions to calculus, he also was a tutor to a young Leonhard Euler.
